Oooo. Oooo. This is good. This is really good. Red Skins is full-bodied and smoky, with a peppery aroma and a rich stewed plum flavor. It’s dry and sophisticated.
It’s great by the glass and it adds a moreish quality to dishes you add it to. We made a meat lasagna and splashed some Red Skins into it. It gave the finished product an intanglible depth. So yummy.
If I have a complaint, it’s this: I’m a Ravens fan, so I don’t appreciate the name.
