During the dark, cold winter months, it’s always good to get away from it all, to find a quiet place to hole up and reflect on what’s important in life. By which I mean, it’s a good time for me to go up to Frederick and hang out at a brewery or two with my notebook and a list of New Year’s resolutions I want to keep.
I’ve mentioned a couple of my resolutions that relate to this blog already, and I have a whole bunch more. Rather than just making my list and then forgetting about it by the time the spring thaw arrives, I am going to spend a weekend to come up with an action plan. It’s sort of like an workplace offsite, except it’s just me, so I don’t have to do any icebreakers.
Obviously, I am going to milk a couple of blog posts out of my jaunt, because I’ll be darned if I’m not going to write about new beers and new-to-me breweries. But I’ve got a lot to think about and I can’t think of a better way to do that than over a pint.
Well, except for maybe on a beach…
